Senthil Sundaramoorthy
R&D Staff Member, ORNL
Senthil Sundaramoorthy is an R&D Staff Member in the Manufacturing Energy Efficiency Research & Analysis Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). In this role, he supports the U.S. Department of Energy’s Industrial Technologies Office (ITO) through the Better Plants Program, where he works with industrial partners to identify, evaluate, and implement strategies that improve energy efficiency in manufacturing systems. His work focuses on helping companies adopt DOE tools, resources, and best practices to reduce energy use and improve operational performance.
Senthil has over 15 years of experience in industrial energy management, with expertise in steam systems, process cooling, and process heat integration. He is also an alumnus of the DOE Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) program at West Virginia University, where he conducted several energy assessments for small and medium-sized manufacturing facilities. Senthil is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and a DOE Qualified Specialist in process heating and steam systems. In his spare time, he enjoys playing badminton, cricket, and volleyball.
