Thomas Theising

President, Sustainable Energy Solutions

Tom is a graduate of The Citadel with an B.S. in Electrical Engineer, an M.S in Organization and Management, and President of Sustainable Energy Solutions, LLC. He holds AEE certifications as a Certified Energy Manager and a Certified Demand Side Management professional. Tom has 45 years of experience in industry and has facilitated roughly 400 industrial energy assessments. Prior to his current role, he retired from BASF Corporation. His efforts have been recognized by the American Chemistry Council with 47 Annual Energy Awards for a variety of customers.

Tom has participated in the identification and implementation of energy savings projects cumulating greater than $1 Billion as of 2014 when he retired from BASF. Tom is an Advisory Board member for the Texas A&M TEES Industrial Energy Technology Conference (IETC) and former Vice-Chairman of Duke Energy’s Energy Issues Forum.
